Our nation is under attack and the Serbs think they’re winning. They picture us as roadkill just begging to be put out of our misery. They think we'll give them cause to celebrate soon.

And they’re right. Because the Serbian nation since 1389 has turned celebrating defeats into a national sport. We’re going to give them such a whooping they’ll be remembering it for years, the time they were beaten by a country they thought was dead, a country they thought had lost hope.

But we haven't lost hope. The path out of our situation is hard, it’s treacherous, but as we showed in Wyoming, we’re willing to bear anything for final victory. The USA has hidden strengths, we just need to be able to muster them, to mobilize every pixel on our screens to triumph over the Serbian invader.

That’s why I’m running for president of the United states. My policy for winning this war is 5-fold, with one aim, war until final victory:

1. Reform diplomacy

For weeks, we’ve been appealing without success for mive intervention in this war. We don’t need new cards, however: what we need is a new pitch deck. I got a great reception from Vae Victis leaders about a new article, detailing the Serbian invasion not as a simple land grab, but a desperate last gasp for the dying Serbian empire. Let’s not beg our allies to help us for our sake, but spread a message cutting into deep truths: that winning on the American front will be the final triumph that shatters the last hope of the Serbian empire at turning the tide in this great war. With a kick foreign policy team at the helm, we’ll press our allies, call constant meetings, and spread our message until the Serbs see enemies at their front, their rear, at the flanks, and from above.

2. Reform society



America has been saved by heroics sacrifices, but our heroes don’t get the recognition they deserve. Tancred earlier this month started an RW in Montenegro and drained 3.2 Billion Serbian damage on his own gold. Spitfire worked long hours to get Taiwan to intervene and kick the Bosniaks out of the war. America needs to be inspired by and recognize these acts of individual sacrifice. This game is Rand Paul’s wet dream: government is weak, individuals are powerful because of the iron laws of game mechanics. We need to honor and respect sacrifice to inspire everyone to do the same, only full commitment will win this war! Let’s not be a coin counting circlejerk like other nations, but a society in which the paramount value is not how much you have, but how well you have served your country in its moments of crisis, where the best way to help yourself and gain prominence is to sacrifice and help your nation.

Further, we will leave nobody in the dark. Everyone should be connected to the national cause and community in a weekly update, so that everyone knows exactly what’s happening on the front and in Congress.

Finally, we need a deep, strong community. The forum will be restored, Eu4/civ/ETW games will start, and a new mentor system will teach every newbie how to be rich, so we can retain players and watch them grow strong for future wars. Community is retention. Retention is experience. Experience is strength.

3. Reform the military



This is how wars are fought in this game: uncoordinated. People fight whenever they want, there’s no set distribution system, just some drops here and there. When I take office, I will:

Form a spec ops force, the US Army Rangers from all MUs, a hard-hitting force attacking in the last 10 minutes of battles, with consistent government supply drops and energy shipments. They’ll be our lightning response force to turn around any battle on a moment's notice.
Use MUs as distribution channels for arms. This government will work with, not against MUs. We’ll distribute guns to them to give out to their players as they will, becoming an organized military system.
Create a system of war bonds. Our treasury is falling with the immense expense of this war, but we can pool the resource of those sympathetic to our cause.
Psychological warfare. In this game players don't die until they quit. We’ll need to constantly message Serbia, publish articles, find a collaborator in their ranks and convince their people of our narrative that this war isn’t worth their effort and defending their homeland is more important.

4. Reform recruitment

For our nation to be respected we can't just rise out of this war a banana republic rescued by our allies. We need more people! I intend to create an entirely new position for recruitment and will work tirelessly to message gaming boards and bring people into our country. We'll demand commitment to recruitment form everyone who seeks to lead this country so we can boost our numbers and be respected as a world power!

5. Reform the government

I want to revolutionize the way this government works. No longer are we just going to politically appoint and let people sit in roles. The cabinet should lead by example and be the those who embody the ideals of sacrifice for this nation until the Serbs are kicked from the shores. I intend to be the prime example, and commit my entire fortune to the war effort. I earned my cash the hard way, trading internationally, but I’d rather go broke then come back to the white house in defeat!

Party lines will vanish, our divisions will vanish. All appointments will be based only on three things: commitment, activity, and results. We will pick up the slack and demand that for the great power of the cabinet and government come great responsibility. Congress will no longer just be a cow to milk for gold medals: to win this war, we will need the government to be a government that works hard.

Finally, I will bring you into the government. I asked most of my cabinet appointees (published in the next article) what the single biggest thing they wanted to change about the USA was, and appointed them accordingly. Everyone from newbie to oligarch will get the same chance in my administration to put your ideas into practice. There are no insiders and outsiders in this war. There are no parties in this war. There are Americans, and there are Serbs.

It’s time the American people stood up. Let’s not be known any longer as some banana republic or resource colony, or an extinct and conquered once-great nation like eGermany and eJapan. By the end of my term, we will drive out the invader and win the respect of the international community, and I will spend every cent I have to achieve that! I will not seek another term in defeat-  this nation will never again experience another conquest. This term will be about winning our independence and laying the buildings blocks for our new manifest destlny to establish ourselves as a world power!
