Τhe Vardar-Banovina or Vardar Banate or Banate of wasa province of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia between 1929 and 1941. It was located
in the southernmost part of the country, encomping the whole of today's FYRoM, southern parts of Southern and Eastern Serbia and southeastern parts of Kosovo and Serbia. It was named after the Vardar River and its administrative capital was the city of Skopje.

Alexander the great actually called himself Macedon , so historical , Macedons dont consider themselves like Greeks , but legacy of Alexander is really low connected to BOTH of you... u can try but neither Greeks or Macedonians have origins in Alexander the Great ancient nation !

@mule if you read historical books/sites you will see that Alexander III called him self Greek Macedon.
@petros2 seek for your grandparents geography books (before 1970 s) and you will see that the south region of Yugoslavia is called Macedonia.Even in Greek geography books.
