My fellow Americans,
Today, the United States confronts a foe that has menaced the Western hemisphere.
The Irish government for three weeks has attacked Canada unmolested by any kind of foreign intervention except that of their own doing - attempts to attack Poland and even their French allies.
Today, Ireland's bid for conquest in the Western hemisphere is over. The United States will enter its first direct war where we are not on the defensive since the Spanish campaign months ago, and put an end to the madness and aggression of the Irish government, and expel them from Canada before they are able to use it as a staging ground for them and their allies to invade the United States.
Americans, fight long and fight hard! Today we salvage our nation's honor and prove we are not to be overlooked!

@OriginalQC - Yes, just over a month ago, Canada agreed to help/work with Ireland, which was off to a good start when we successfully negotiated a rental agreement for one of your territories (did your leaders not tell you that those few battles were a necessary part of that agreement?). When Canada approached Ireland to renew the rental a month later, Ireland chose not to, a decision Ireland had every right to make. However, within a couple days of ending the rental agreement, Ireland launched an unexpected attack on Newfoundland that betrayed previous efforts to improve relations between our countries. I am glad your sense of fair play prevented a wipe, but your version of the story seems misinformed.
Well, I ll say that I hope to be taking a drink in an Irish pub in some conquered region in a few days
