Le Kosovo-Métochie est une terre où la chrétienté orthodoxe est présente depuis plus de 700 ans. Ce "berceau" du christianisme orthodoxe en Serbie, compte plusieurs monuments placés sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l´UNESCO mais aussi sur la liste du patrimoine mondial en péril. Le Kosovo, c´est une chrétienté en péril: depuis l´an 2000 on dénombre près de 150 lieux de culte chrétien pillés, détruits, incendiés... Pour les serbes orthodoxes, il s'agit donc d'un enjeux de première importance depuis l'autoproclamation d´indépendance du Kosovo: maintenir la flamme vivace et préserver tout ce qui peut l´être. Ce documentaire est une sorte d´état des lieux de la situation dans laquelle perdurent la tradition et la présence serbe orthodoxe, comment elle se maintient en vie dans ses monastères et rayonne dans ses villages, chez les fidèles. Une communauté soumise à épreuve face à la tentation de radicalisation d´un Islam démographiquement majoritaire au Kosovo.
Kosovo-Metohija is a land where Orthodox Christianity has been present for more than 700 years. This "cradle" of Orthodox Christianity in Serbia, has several monuments on UNESCO's World Heritage List but also on the list of World Heritage in Danger. Kosovo is a Christianity in danger: since the year 2000 there have been nearly 150 Christian places of worship plundered, destroyed, burnt down ... For the Orthodox Serbs, this is therefore a matter of prime importance Since the self-proclaimed independence of Kosovo: to keep the flame perennial and to preserve everything that can be. Née d’une urgence, celle des familles au Kosovo-Métochie qui, les 17 et 18 mars 2004, étaient les victimes des pogroms antichrétiens, Solidarité-Kosovo a été fondée par Arnaud Gouillon et son frère Bertrand dans le but de porter secours de manière durable et efficace aux lations serbes de la province.
La vocation de Solidarité-Kosovo est double:
agir concrètement sur le terrain et témoigner en France comme en Europe du sort de la lation serbe.
Les opérations engagées au Kosovo-Métochie concilient des interventions d’urgence, pour subvenir aux besoins vitaux des foyers chrétiens avec des programmes de post-crise pour favoriser leur autonomie.
Parce que parler d’une victime c’est commencer à la protéger, Solidarité-Kosovo veut rompre avec le silence qui entoure la condition des Serbes du Kosovo par son action de plaidoyer auprès de la presse et ses campagnes de mobilisation de l’opinion publique.
Solidarité-Kosovo intervient sur l’un des territoires les plus pauvres d’Europe en impliquant dans son action humanitaire multisectorielle la lation locale en proie à la précarité économique, confrontée à des déficits alimentaires, sanitaires, médicaux et éducatifs. L’obstination à agir en direction de ces foyers les plus vulnérables, y compris dans les situations extrêmes, a été reconnue. Grâce à elle, Solidarité-Kosovo a conquis une légitimité indispensable en scellant en 2011 un partenariat exclusif avec l’Eglise orthodoxe serbe avec qui elle conçoit et concrétise ses actions humanitaires. Solidarité-Kosovo dispose d’un bureau humanitaire à Gračanica supervisé par le Père Bojan. Sa connaissance des besoins des familles et des difficultés du terrain qu’il côtoie chaque jour, garantisse l’efficacité et l’utilité des actions menées sous l’impulsion de Solidarité-Kosovo.

The obstinacy to act towards these most vulnerable households, including in extreme situations, has been recognized. Thanks to it, Solidarity-Kosovo has gained an indispensable legitimacy by sealing in 2011 an exclusive partnership with the Serbian Orthodox Church with whom it conceives and concretizes its humanitarian actions. Solidarity-Kosovo has a humanitarian office in Gračanica supervised by Father Bojan. His knowledge of the needs of the families and the difficulties of the terrain he encounters each day, guarantees the effectiveness and usefulness of the actions carried out under the impetus of Solidarity-Kosovo.

Fallen, about history of Kosovi i Metohija, what ever is written in article is truth, and even you know that, thats why you are only trying to insult in your comment, as you dont have anything else to say that would prove othervise. Even about your statement that serbs started all wars on balkan, lets see, 1st balkan war, serbia it was Greece, Serbia, Crna Gora and Bulgaria, and thanks to those countries is that albania was created. 2nd Balkan war, started by Bulgaria. WW1 by Austro-Hungary , ww2 Germany and their allies including Albania. Wars in Yugoslavia was civil wars, and not Balkan war. War in KIM was started by Albanians supported by NATO and NATO. So if anything that serbia is responsible is while not alone, Serbia is responsible for creation of Albania.

@fallen, again in last war, it was civil war, not triggered by any particular country but by many events that happen, and many reasons. About Albanians on KIM, thats not entirely truth but you know that. That is what Albanians and NATO (that supported you) is trying to say. Tell me one thing, did you have right on your language, schools, even news on national TV was on Albanian. Tell me one thing, do you support and do you think its right with Albanian attempts to eradicate churches, monuments etc etc that are of historical importance, and prof that serbs lived in KIM for over 1000 years? When you say Kosovo and Metohia enywhere in the world people have couple of association Battle for Kosovo 1389, Serbs, Serbian heroes and military leaders in Battle for Kosovo Lazar Hrebeljanović, Milos Obilic, Vuk Branković, Vlatko Vuković,..and so on..when you say Serb you have couple of association Nikola tesla, Mihajlo Pupin, Milutin Milanković and so on
