Good morning Vietnam!

Questa è una frase perfetta per descrivere il momento. Sulla guerra in Vietnam sono state scritte intere bibliografie e non penso sia necessario aggiungerne altre. Tuttavia, nel nostro piccolo possiamo raccontare quello che in Italia sta succedendo negli ultimi mesi.

This is a perfect phrase to describe the moment. Entire books have been written about the war in Vietman and I do not think it is necessary to add more. However, in our small we can tell what in Italy is happening in recent months.

La collezione di DoW è ormai ricchissima, nonostante ciò siamo vivi ed investiamo in nuove infrastrutture.

Sul fronte di guerra siamo sempre molto attivi. Dopo un iniziale elegante duello tra Francia ed Italia per contendersi la striscia di Gaza (Trentino), ho deciso di non concentrare più tutte le nostre forze in questa guerra e concentrarci su diversi fronti. Un buon generale deve capire quando è il momento di attaccare e quando è il momento di ripiegare.

On the war front we are always very active. After an initial elegant duel between France and Italy to contend for the Gaza strip (Trentino), I decided not to concentrate all our strength in this war and to commit ourselves on several fronts. La nostra sfortuna è la posizione geografica, la nostra fortuna è il peso strategico che avremo in ogni situazione. In questo momento siamo al centro di un conflitto mondiale tra due super potenze, e come molte volte è capitato nella storia, il campo da gioco lo offriamo noi. Per un CP militare come me, questo sarà sempre un onore.

Our misfortune is the geographical position, our luck is the strategic weight that we will have in every situation. La politica coloniale diventa punto focale della questione. L'Italia è una nazione pacifica che non occupa ma convive con le sue colonie, aiutandole con il supporto logistico dei suoi soldati al fine di migliorarsi a vicenda. In Italia ci sono pochi giocatori (20-30), ma le nostre conoscenze del game sono superiori alla media. Capita spesso che quando perdiamo territori per dinamiche del gioco, i governi del posto ci augurano un nostro pronto ritorno per continuare quello che si era cominciato: aiuti, TW, collaborazioni. La politica italiana non è quasi mai aggressiva, e soprattutto non contempla il delete.

Colonial politics becomes the focal point of the question. Ultimamente abbiamo inviato truppe nella zona Vietnamita della Thailandia, una novità oluta per l'esercito italiano. I territori si sono rivelati abbastanza inospitali e circondati da nazioni potenti, ma noi contiamo di stringere buoni rapporti con i giocatori locali anche se fino ad oggi non hanno risposto alle nostre lettere. La breve esperienza Vietnamita non si è conclusa qui, ed ho pensato di fare perlustrazioni sulla costa della Malesia... una calma apparente che in breve potrebbe trasformasi in un inferni di fuoco (quando siamo stati attaccati in Thailandia qualcuno mi ha scritto: la domanda non è perchè l'Italia è stata attaccata in Thailandia, ma la domanda è perchè l'Italia è in Thailandia... - ma questo non lo tradurremo). Tuttavia, salpare per territori sconosciuti, conoscere nuovi giocatori, difendersi da agguati di nemici, è una cosa a cui non riesco a rinunciare!

Lately we have sent troops to the Vietnamese area of Thailand, an absolute novelty for the Italian army. The territories are quite inhospitable and surrounded by very powerful nations, but we hope to forge good relations with local players who have not yet responded to our letters. The short Vietnamese experience did not end here, and I thought about scouring the coast of Malaysia ... an apparent calm that could soon turn into a of fire. However, setting sail for unknown territories, meeting new players, defending yourself from enemy traps, is something I can not give up!

La politica industriale italiana è ad un punto di svolta. In questo mese abbiamo rafforzato di molto le nostre difese e migliorato i nostri equipaggiamenti.
Lo stato ha agevolato (con il rimborso delle te) la costruzione della prima fabbrica di DS italiana. Dal punto di vista degli armamenti, abbiamo rifornito i nostri soldati di Navi Q5 costruendo una nuova azienda statale. Abbiamo informato il popolo affinchè comprenda l'importanza di lavorare per gli italiani.

Italian industrial policy is at a turning point. This month we have greatly strengthened our defenses and improved our equipment. The government has facilitated (with tax refund) the construction of the first Italian DS factory. From the point of view of armaments, we provided our soldiers with Q5 Ships by building a new state-owned company. We have informed the people so that they understand the importance of working for Italians.
