Hi guys, in this article I want to introduce the meaning of the word 'NAP' in Hungary. It's not political, I just show you how many times we use it :D
So, NAP basically have 2 meanings:
1. Sun
You know, this giant lightning ball in the sky. It's the main term of the life in Earth, I think that everyone likes it.
Here is the national flag of the szeklers (the hungarians in Transylvania):
The Sun is the main symbol in their culture too.
If you want to hear it many times, I prefer you to listen this kid song from our country:
2. Day
Yes, this is the second meaning. This 24 hour in 365 times per a year. So, we use this word many times, in every day :D
Finally, here's some other words which are including NAP:
nappal - daytime
napozás - sunbathing
napsütés - sunshine
tegnap - yesterday
holnap - tomorrow
napló - diary
naplopó - lounger
vasárnap - sunday
kanapé - sofa
anapesztus - anapest
nappali - living room
snapsz - schnapps
minap - on the other day

A gyönyörű napsütéses időre való tekintettel a vasárnapot nem a nappaliban a kanapén ülve fogom tölteni, hanem napozni fogok egész nap. - In view of the beautiful sunshine, I will not spend the next Sunday with sitting on the sofa in the living room but I will sunbathing all day (or something like that :D).
So, this little word have a lot of positive meaning in our country, That's why I'm just smiling when I see NAPgary :D
