Last few days there is a lot battles with Hungary and after i read this article https://www.erevollution.com/en/article/10469 I decided to take a trip this weekend to Budapest.
Here is what i found :
is the capital city of Hungary. By officially about 1.7million people, unofficially, with about 2.5 million inhabitants is by
lation the sixth largest city in the European Union.Budapest stretches along both banks of the river Danube, which flows from north to south. On the right bank is the former independent city of Buda (Buda) and north of it Old Buda (Óbuda). Pest is located on the left bank of the Danube. North of the city center are Margit - Sziget (Margaret Island), a lar park and recreation center, and Óbudai - Sziget (Island Starobudimski), on the island of Csepel Sziget south of the city center it is today the river cargo port.
Short History of the town
In 896, the area of today's city was occupied by theHungarians and gradually created until 1873 an independent town Old Buda
(Óbuda), Buda (Buda) and Pest (Pest). Buda flourished during Sigismund of Luxembourg andespecially Matthias Corvinus (King Matjaž), who ordered to build a Renaissance palace and founded a library.
TheTurks occupied Pest in 1526 after the victory at the Battle ofMohács. Buda was occupied 15 years later. The capital was moved to Pozsony
(today's Bratislava), Buda became the capital of the Turkish province. To the Turkish withdrawal in 1686, when the present-day Hungary was occupied by the Habsburgs, the majority of buildings due to lack of maintenance collapses, just above the thermal springs are formed baths. At the time of Count István Széchenyja all three citiesexperienced a boom again and started to receive its current appearance. At uprising in 1849 for the first time raised demandsfor unification of all three cities. Habsburg government has resisted this until 1873, when the merger of Budapest Buddha, Óbuda and Pest formally came into being and was the capital of the Hungarian part in 1867 established the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
896 anniversary was marked by almost all, the bridge 960meters long, dome high 96 meterov, etc ...
The river Danube is a major artery that connects theBlack Sea to central Europe and through the channels with the Rhine and the North Sea. Budapest river port on the island of Csepel is located in the southern part of the city. Maybe cruises between Budapest and Vienna ping Bratislava.
3 most interesting things for me :
1. Parlament
TheHungarian Parliament is the third largest in Europe (the largest is the Reichstag, the second largest of Westminster). The 268 meter long and 123 meter wide building has 10 inner courtyards, 29 staircases, 691 rooms, 242 sculptures and 386 deputies very smart.
2. Bridges
Széchenyjev Chain Bridge(Chain Bridge) is the oldest bridge across the Danube andthe true symbol of Budapest. It was built in 1849 according to plans by British Tierneyja William and Adam Clark. Towards the end of the 2nd World War by the German army during the withdrawal of lightning, new, 1 meter wider than the old one, was opened in 1949, exactly 100 years after first opening.Under UNESCO.
Elizabeth Bridge (Erzsébethíd)was built between 1897 and 1903, named after Queen Elizabeth, wife of Franz Joseph.
Margaret Bridge("Margit híd) (from the years 1872 to 1876)
Árpádov Bridge (Árpád híd)
3. Paprika
The biggest feature of Hungarian cuisine is paprika, and that of the 18th century, when it was introduced by the Turks. Instead of butter and oil has always been used lard. The dishes are very tasty and seasoned mainly with onion, pepper and the already mentioned paprika powder. The famous paprika in general applies to the Hungarian invention and is also one of the lar export products. In Budapest you on the pounds can buy the famous city market, which is my most beautiful in Europe.
And in the end my last visit was Tropicarium :
So im already to long but guys leave one region toHungary it is very nice country.
