From now on, all campaigning articles will be tagged with #FeelTheUber
So I know I said the previous article before I left... well not anymore!
Anyhow, I am running for independent congressman this coming election. Here is my agenda for the term!
Defense
Maggiot / Lincoln Line - Until the whole "US needs less cores" fiasco is figured out, we should focus on our southern border only for now. Once we solve it, then we can stack Lincoln Logs all over the country. For the record, I'm aware Lincoln himself is privately funding most of the project, so good for him, and he's free to do that, however gov't spending should vee relegated to the south until further notice.
Military - I support partial privatization of our MUs. This way, the government doesn't have to spend as much money to maintain the military, and one could also argue this makes it more accountable to the people. Additionally, workers and VAT taxes could help fuel the American economic machine. That said, the government must have some control and auditing power over the MUs, otherwise we risk corruption and mismanagement within them.
Other programs - Beyond this, I would continue to maintain our current programs, like Arm America and others.
Economic
Currency deflation - I think we should deflate to 75 USD:1gold and leave it there. I don't think 100:1 deflation is necessary, and it could do more harm than good.
Minimum wage - As the dollar drops in value, we need to adapt to changing conditions. I support an immediate $2.5 minimum wage, increasing by one dollar every term, up to roughly $6 by the end of it. Spreading out minimum wage increases will help lessen the economic shock from pruning so many $1 a day jobs.
Taxes and Monkus` Doctrine - Ever since the doctrine was put into effect, our country has been on the up and up. There's no reason to stop them now! Prioritizing VAT over work tax encourages job growth whilst also fostering pion in the game amongst newcomers; getting more money to get more things. As for income taxes, lowering them to 25-15% will help our economy via foreign investment without undercutting our own industry or risking our economic independence to much.
MDP Trade Deal - One idea I'd like to propose is a trade deal between us and the rest of the MDP. Such a deal, ideally, would somehow implement tariffs to our rivals, while lowering import taxes alliance wide, making MDP industry stronger, as well as encouraging cooperation between our fellow members, while all the while weakening our rivals economic ability overseas. And unlike the IRL TPP and TTIP plans, the negotiations would be plenty transparent.
Domestic issues
Community Liaison - I support this. We're here to make our country better, not just benefit ourselves. I'm not sure if this actually will do a whole lot, but anything that takes away needless partisanship is good.
eNASA - Come on, opposing this thing is like seeing an adorable kitty and being sad. It's just not possible.
Sorry I can't be more specific here.
Let me just disclose that I may not be active until a few days after the election - see my previous post.
That being said, once I am back, I promise will continue this trend we've seen of making America great again!
However, because I will be absent, your vote is critical for me to win the election. If you want to see a truly great America, vote for me on the fifteenth!
