Welcome to The Weekly Inquirer, a publication that will strive to impart knowledge on a weekly basis while being unbiased to political positions. This first article was written after conducting numerous interviews this week, it will be most relevant to citizens of the United States but may be interesting to other citizens as well.

This article will cover:

1) Basics of the Mutual Defense Pact (MDP).
2) Pacific Members Involvement.
3) The Effect of the MDP on The United States Core Regions.

Basics of the Mutual Defense Pact (MDP)

The Mutual Defense Pact, or MDP, was officially announced on May 24, 2016 on the Japanese newspaper Kitsune (Here). According to the article the current goals of the MDP are as follows:

1) To ensure the security of every Mutual Defense Pact country core regions at any cost. If it comes to a situation, where two or more countries have their core regions attacked, damage will be sent to the weaker ones.

2)After the core regions are secured, we will try our best to ensure best possible prosperity for every member, without eliminating countries and nations.

3)We will constantly strive for balance by not accepting alliance swaps, unless a greater reform of alliances occur.

The membership of the MDP currently consists of:
Albania, Denmark, France, Greece, Iran, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Portugal, Poland, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and The Unites States of America.

The Pacific Members Involvement

The Pacific members of the MDP are currently Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, and The United States of America. Currently, there is a potential fifth member in the Pacific - Indonesia. This came to my attention over the series of interviews with Lalo292, Mr XYZ, and Shiro.

In my interview with Mr XYZ, the CP of Indonesia, we discussed his intent on joining the MDP.
Question: Are there plans for Indonesia to become a MDP aligned country?
Answer: Yes, we are planning so.

In my interview with Lalo292, the CP of Mexico, we discussed his stance on including Indonesia in the party.
Question: Are there other pacific MDP countries being considered to be part of the MDP?
Answer: Indonesia, I really want them to be part of MDP.

However, in my interview with Shiro, the SoFA for the MDP, it was apparent that some thought was still being put into the inclusion of Indonesia in the MDP.
Question: Any possibility of Indonesia joining the MDP?
Answer: With Indonesia we talk atm.

The Effect of the MDP on The United States Core Regions

At the time of this article publishing, Japan, Mexico, and Indonesia all control core regions of The United States of America. In Interviews with Lalo292 and Dormillon, I discussed the future of Arizona.

In my interview with Dormillon, the Governor of Mexico, we asked what Mexico would do with Arizona after joining the MDP.
Question: ¿Qué piensa hacer con Arizona México¿
Translation: What will Mexico do with Arizona?
Answer: Regresaría ahora somos aliados pero aún no encontramos el momento de hacerlo ya que no ganamos nada teniéndolo.
Translation: We will return it now that we are allies, because we gain nothing by having it.

In my interview with Lalo292, the CP of Mexico, we heard similar sentiments towards the future of Arizona.
Question: What will happen with Arizona as a result of the MDP?
Answer: Arizona was suposed to be returned a long time to the U.S., but neither the U.S. nor Mexico wanted to make something about it. As you see it is a region with sand, something both countries already have. We already have sent proposals to release it but as I said before, it s not important.

If Indonesia joins the MDP, the foreign core regions they control are California (Sand) and Nevada (Deer), both resources are already controlled by The United States so the implied value of each would be similar to that of Arizona.

There are some developments on this but... secret stuff from govt and the new MDP Secretary of Foreign Affairs

@Abraham Lincoln Yeah I thought about posting some of that but since I was cordially invited to that meeting, I decided to leave out anything that happened there.
