^{A 6.3} magnitude earthquake occurred in the Croatian town of Petrinja, and according to initial findings, it was reported that a 12-year-old girl died.  Glina Mayor Stjepan Kostanjevic told the Croatian media that 4 people died due to the earthquake in Glina, and the total loss of life in the earthquake rose to 5. Sisak Emergency Medical Services Director Tomislav Fabijanic, near Petrinja, said 20 people were treated in hospital, including 2 seriously injured. It was learned that a kindergarten was also destroyed in the earthquake, but as a result of the absence of anybody in the school, the disaster returned from the brink.  Damage was also reported in nursing homes in the Petrinja region.
